And now for some good news…If many of you, like me, are travelling to Phoenix for the 2026 World Parkinson Congress, there is assistance available from the TSA Cares. TSA Cares will help to make the whole process of getting through security smoother and stress free! To participate in the program before travel, register at least 72 hours ahead and ask for a Passenger Support Specialist!
TSA Cares program 1-855-787-2227 for assistance getting through the checkpoint. Helpline open weekdays 8am-11pm ET and weekends 9am-8pm ET
TSA Cares can assist meet you at the security checkpoint and can assist you through the security line at the checkpoint. This assistance can be either for the standard security line or TSA Pre-check (according to the TSA Cares webpage).
After all my years of traveling, I was introduced to this available service when I was traveling from Dallas to Washington DC. I was approached by a Passenger Support Specialist who saw Angela and me exiting the TSA checkpoint. She was so kind, caring, and informative.

This is great information. my wife and care partner work on this part of our travel today. it –
This great information. My wife/care partner worked with a TSA representative today. It was little time consuming but well worth it. We will be assigned an “advocate” who will meet us prior the the security checkpoint and stay with us all the way to the gate. Additionally, we always contact the airline ahead of time to secure wheelchair service and pre-boarding. You never know when the stress/excitement of travel will throw me “off”.
Thank you, David for sharing your experiences with us and that you are trying this service! We hope that this helps make your travel easier! Thanks, Karl
