Mental Health Changes while Facing Parkinson’s is a non-motor symptom of the disease that needs more awareness. If doing nothing or planting yourself on the couch is your recipe to get better with Parkinson’s, think again. Apathy or depression are real and without awareness and without making a change, can get worse. Identifying that something has changed is the first step. Making the changes and getting help from a professional who knows mental health is the next step. Don’t ignore cognitive changes that drastically alter your attitude or outlook on living.
