The Long Road to Hope: Ending Parkinson’s Disease documentary

From the dynamic and innovative authors of the book Ending Parkinson’s Disease comes the groundbreaking film on Parkinson’s that was needed since the illness began! This film eloquently explains the complexities, details, possible solutions, and how to help make a change in Parkinson’s disease. Not for many years in my 30+ years of Parkinson’s disease have I seen a film that condenses and explains this mysterious illness so well.

The film, The Long Road To Hope: Ending Parkinson’s Disease is a fast paced hour, hosted by 2 of the 4 authors. Both doctors are active researchers, movement disorder specialist neurologists, (Drs. Bas Bloem and Ray Dorsey) who wrote the book that inspired this film. Finally, there is an easy to follow, digestible, entertaining, and overall, an eloquent message to the world on Parkinson’s disease. The film highlights the lives of several active and impressive people living with or directly affected by Parkinson’s and how he or she is seeing results.

This powerful documentary takes you through four chapters of the video which are the Parkinson PACT: Prevent, Advocate, Care for, and Treat Parkinson’s. See Parkinson’s through the eyes of 12 insightful individuals with or living with this illness. Watch, react, get involved, and share!

I encourage you to educate yourself, become an advocate, and get involved in raising awareness. Angela and I spoke with Dr. Dorsey about his work in the Parkinson’s community. You can watch that interview here.
