Growing Old with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease – PMD Alliance

When PMD Alliance asked us to present on a topic relating to Parkinson’s Disease (PD), aging and living with PD for over 40 years seemed like a good choice for us to discuss. Angela Robb, my partner and loving wife, my support, my best friend, my life partner of almost 30 years, provides the important voice of the carepartner perspective.

In just under an hour discussion, you will hear some tips and ideas that have to do with aging and Parkinson’s disease. Distinguishing between aging and a chronic condition like PD can be nearly impossible, but just being aware of changes to your body and sharing those changes with your healthcare team may be addressed. We are each unique and we all may experience different changes at different periods of our aging so, it is imperative that we each keep track of even the most subtle of changes. From skin to heart and mind to body part, we never quite know where PD leaves off and aging makes an appearance.
