Birthdays are to be celebrated and treasured! The way one celebrates a birthday can be a very personal and spiritually meaningful experience or a complete act of avoidance and dismissal. There is no running from the date of our arrival to the world. Embrace the date of when and where our existence as we know it began. When the birthdays end, the celebration goes with them.
Building and embracing a ritual, while it may be somewhat commonplace, doesn’t have to be, if our imagination and creativity look at birthdays as what they can be. A birthday is a milestone of our being here. If nothing else, recognize and appreciate the day!
